The M538-HT is a hand-held MURS transceiver that will receive alert

signals from the MURS Alert™ transmitter and also can be used for

two-way voice communications between other MURS transceivers.

The HT has ﬁ ve channels and 38 sub channels to help you communi-

cate with other users. The M538-HT is powered by a six rechargeable

batteries (included) that will last for about 40 hours per charge. The HT

is capable of communicating over distances of several miles.* The FCC

also allows you to use MURS without a license. Although other radio

services require a license, MURS is license-free.

When an alert signal is received from the MURS Alert™ transmitter, the

HT will sound oﬀ with the voice alert signal, and will display an alert

icon as a visual cue that an alert signal has been received. This has many

diﬀ erent applications for small businesses, farmers, security guards or

outdoorsmen. Anyone who needs to have real time monitoring and

two-way voice communication will beneﬁ t from MURS.

The HT kit consists of one MURS Alert transmit-

ter and one M538-HT hand-held transceiver.

This kit is ideal for people that are out and

about, such as security guards, sales staﬀ , and

MURS BS Kit

The BS kit consists of one MURS Alert transmit-

ter and one M538-BS base station transceiver.

The BS kit is ideal for use in ﬁ xed locations such

as homes, shops or oﬃ ces.
